A crofter on the island of Eigg is harvesting seeds of Scottish bluebells in an effort to save the species.

After what feels like months of cold weather, ice and dark days, Spring has arrived with ever lengthening sunny days.  Bluebells, primroses, wood anemones and other wild flowers and planets are starting to show their heads. 

The landscape is changing from the rich brown tones of winter to bright green.  It won't be long now before the croft is a sea of blue.
